Open to EVERYONE at least 11-years-old by January 1, 2019 - whether Scout or NOT, regardless of gender, language ability, race or religion. ========= Please join LA Lone Scouts (Troop 000 Lone Scouts) at their next STEM Merit Badge Day in San Diego. This is an OVERNIGHT event as described below: (A) Oceanography Merit Badge This 4-5 hour program will allow Scouts and Friends to complete the Oceanography Merit Badge. A certified Merit Badge counselor will assist the Scouts as they perform plankton tows and water analysis during a 1.5 hour boat ride on the historic 1914 Pilot Boat. They will also be touring the Ferry Boat Berkeley and will also visit the USS Dolphin research submarine. (B) Sleepover On a Tall Ship Scouts will participate in activities, have dinner and breakfast, and sleep aboard either the Star of India, HMS Surprise, or Californian. Ship is dependant on availability. Everyone who plans to board the boat needs to purchase a spot - whether Scout, Student, Adult, or Chaperone. NOTES - PLEASE READ: Travel from wherever you are and the Maritime Museum in San Diego is your responsibility. This program is open to ALL Boys and Girls at least 11-years-old by January 1, 2019, whether Scout or not, and in Grades 5-12 for the 2018-2019 school year. Registration for any and all LA Lone Scouts' events is a 2-part process: (a) SignUp on Eventbrite, and (b) Complete GoogleDoc Roster sent via email updates on the Eventbrite platform. Please make sure you check the email address you use for your Eventbrite registration regularly as some of these email updates require a response from you.  All youth must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years old and up at the ratio of 1-adult to 5-youths.
